OMG! The brand new iPhone 4 drop test! How dare they do this to such a sacred gadget! LOOL! Yes, I was expecting a flurry of videos on the iPhone 4 to come out on launch day, and I knew one like this would pop up. The iPhone 4 shatters on the third drop. Is the new glass as strong as Apple says it is? We will have to wait and see what other users say about it. Remember, 600,000+ people will be getting there new iPhone tomorrow, and someone is bound to drop it… yes on the first day, and yes I know that is a complete fail on their part hahaha!
This is a warning! Be careful with your new iPhone, but have fun with it. It is a phone once we break it down, so treat it like a phone. Throw it on your bed, leave it on the table, but try not to drop it.

This tutorial tells how to get the brand new iOS4 GoldMaster(GM) Version for your iPhone 3GS, 3G, iPod Touch 3G and 2G, AKA Firmware 4.0 for FREE!
This should work without a developer account. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully. If you use this information, please link back to the site! Thanks

Apple today released iTunes 9.2 for both Windows and Mac. So you can now use iOS 4.0 on both.
Directions:
First, download iTunes 9.2.
Second, BACKUP your device in iTunes!
Third, Download the right iOS4 Firmware for your device. I recommend using firefox to download it since it downloads .ipsw files correctly and does not split it up.
Fourth, in iTunes Hold Option(Shift) and click on restore and choose the .ipsw file from your files. (Usually best to save it on your desktop)
After that, it will start restoring to iOS4 GM!
And there ya go! You should now have iOS4 working on your device.
If you are having trouble, please post in the comments. This will be an updated post if any new problems arise and workarounds need to be made. I can only fix them if I know about it. Thanks

What’s Spirit?
Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch on the latest firmwares.
Spirit is not a carrier unlock.
If you currently are using a tethered jailbreak, you have to restore to use Spirit. Do not upgrade if you use an unlock on an iPhone 3G or 3GS. (You can, however, restore to 3.1.2 if you have SHSH blobs for that version.)
Requirements
Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
Syncing with iTunes before trying this highly recommended.
Note: On iPad, all this is still sort of beta. Some packages in Cydia, not designed for iPad, might screw up your system and require you to restore. Be careful. (And no, Cydia’s appearance is not final.)

I finally received my iPad 3G 32 GB! My initial impressions: wow! This iPad is freakin awesome. The applications available for it are excellent. They are intuitive, detailed, and mostly well designed(at the least “top apps” are). The battery life… holy smokes… it is like a tank. I used it yesterday from 1 PM in the afternoon until 11:30 PM nonstop, playing games, downloading apps, watching movies, listening to music, and I still had 25% left. The aesthetic feel to it is truly unique. It really is magical, ok maybe that was going a bit too far, but it feels great in your hands. It feels like a big, ultra slim iPhone that I can really handle like a mini laptop.
Typing on it for me was really a breeze. I am used to typing on a somewhat smaller keyboard; I have a macbook aluminum unibody. I started typing and can type very fast.
The 3G is what makes this seperate itself from other things. I can bring it anywhere and surf the web on a big screen, using my hands to control everything. The speeds are relatively fast, and are definitely usable for doing your daily internetting(lol) or tweeting etc. If you haven’t tried out an iPad for yourself, I urge you too get off the couch and go check them out. It is hard to explain the real experience, so using one will allow you to see how good these devices are…
Overall, the iPad, so far, is a total win in my book. If you have the $$, I highly recommend it. Heading to your ocean getaway… leave the laptop and throw the iPad in the bag.

Facebook for the 3.0 firmware was just released today, August 27th, 2009! Go into the appstore and update the app!
