As some of you may know, There is the very likely event that Apple© will add a third generation IPod touch™.  This IPod is rumored to have a built in 3.0megapixel auto focus camera with video recording and a microphone. I am hoping for all those things plus wireless –N networking, Better speakers (louder of course), an O.L.E.D. display (for better picture quality), higher range of storage, and similar range of prices of the current IPod touch.

Apple has used the IPod touch as a savior to Apples IPod line. This is because after new technologies became available, Apples sales on their IPods went to an incredible low, And now that the Zune HD is coming soon with great technology that would be a very high competitor with the IPod touch, Apple needed a new IPod touch to take the competition. This is why I think we are getting a new IPod touch.

So, if you’re thinking of getting an IPod touch this month or pretty soon, I would wait. Just to be safe you should wait for the third generation to come out or not.  As far as predictions of the  new iPod coming to the market, Apple updates there Ipod line sometime in September.
