iFrogz Luxe for iPod Touch 2G/3G Review

Posted on 01 October 2009 by zayman3

This is a video review of the iFrogz Luxe for the iPod Touch 2G/3G. I am demonstrating it in the Royal Blue color, but there is a nice variety to choose from, which I talk about in the video.

The iFrogz Luxe is one of my favorite cases for my iPod, because it feels great, protects my iPod, and is stylish! I would rate it a 9/10.

iFrogz Luxe Case for the iPhone 3G/3GS Review

Posted on 24 September 2009 by Nikelis2

Hey guys, I have a new review up for you on the iFrogz Luxe for the iPhone 3G/3GS. Let’s get started.

Ok, to start off, I LOVE this case, with its mat finish. The mat finish on the top and bottom of it makes it one of the best hand-feeling of any case I’ve seen, this case is great.

And, it is a slider case, so there is a top part that covers about three forth, and the bottom the covers the last quarter. It was pretty difficult to install, but with little work it is worth it.

As far as drop protection, not much guys. It is a great case trust me, but it’s no Otterbox Defender lol, but it gets the job done, and that’s what matters.

Well, if you ask me, I give it a 7 and a half out of 10, and because of three downfalls. The first being the installation, it is pretty workful and took about 5 full minutes, at the least, to install. I had to line everything up but it worked. Second, the lack of protection, it exposes everything a little TOO easy lol, everything is almost at normal reach, to some good, to me, bad. If it’s dropped, it could result in the destruction of one of the sections, and it also has no lay-on-the-table design either. Third and last, when I took it off for the first time and the black bottom part left black paint on the side which was VERY diffucult to remove. I tried a cloth, Monster Screen Clean on that cloth and it took me about 4 minutes of hard but careful rubbing to be convinced it was gone, and to be honest, I’m a little scared to remove it again :(

So that’s all I had to say, see ya guys later.

Otterbox Defender iPod Touch 1g Review

Otterbox Defender iPod Touch 1g Case Review

First Thoughts:

I had never heard of Otterbox before coming across this case and the all around look to it made me feel like it was a win in-terms of a buy. The first feature that caught my eye on first glance was the all around design of it; with the 3 protective layers, and accessible button attributes.

Design:

The Otterbox Defender comes with 3 main layers of protection each serving a unique purpose to both craddle and protect the iPod Touch. The first layer is the rough silicon covering which adds a unique look above the second layer which is the hard plastic shell. Last but not least the last layer of protection is the base piece (front and back) which covers the iPod itself.

Within the hard plastic shell adds openings for all ports for your device including headphone jack input, sync and charge cable opening, and a small opening for your home button. When covered with the silicon covering lies additional detachable coverings for the sync port, and the headphone jack to stop from dust and other misleading items to get inside.

Overall the design of this case is carefully thought out and was made to protect your device especially if you are an outdoorsmen and find yourself taking your iPod Touch everywhere. Using a hard shell layer with a silicone skin offers great protection while providing for even greater textile feel and accessible options within your device.

Final Thoughts:

With this case  brings protection, style and comfort all the essentials needed for a great product to both enhance and protect your iPod Touch. I definitely feel like OtterBox succeeded in creating a case that can offer maximum protection without sacrificing usability.

The only downer to this case is the price. Marked up at almost $40 dollars this case is not the most affordable for case addicts these days. But compared with other cases priced near the Defender, the Defender offers an infinite amount more protection. Though it adds amounts of thickness with this case to your device that should be an exception seeing as it is offering an enormous amount of protection.

However, with all things considered, the Otterbox Defender for iPod Touch is great implementation of protection without any doubt. All of the iPhone’s features are present with an unparalleled level of protection and implementation of usage ability to the max. I would consider this a buy for anyone who’s lifestyle is rugged, usually hunting outside, planning a camping trip or just cannot stand your device getting scratched up any longer.

Want the Otterbox Defender check it out here: Here

Pros:

  • Protection unlike any other case seen before
  • Smooth Silicon Casing
  • Everything is accessible

Cons:

  • Bulky
  • Dust Magnet
  • Pricey
