Apple today seeded the second beta of iOS 4.3 to it’s developers today. Apple has informed developers that the cool new iPad multitouch gestures in these iOS 4.3 beta releases won’t make it to the final version of iOS 4.3.

According to Apple, in a message to developers, ” This feature will not be enabled in iOS 4.3 for customers, but we are providing this preview to gather input on how these gestures work with your apps.” The gestures should be back in a later version of iOS, but there’s no official word yet.

If you are interested in testing iOS 4.3 before it’s general release, you may register your device at http://iosbetaactivation.com for a nominal fee of just $7.00

Now that the iPhone OS 4.0 Preview has been announced, this means that paid app developers now have access to this firmware by being able to upgrade their development iPhone and iPod touch devices to these newer firmwares in order to provide feedback on the newer features and by reporting any bugs and glitches that are usually found in the first few beta firmwares.

But developers aren’t the only ones that have to take a bite of the gold dust. Now you can also get access to the iPhone OS 4.0 betas as well on your iPhone and iPod touch (and maybe even your NEW iPad, although we recommend against doing so) by visiting our partner site, My iPhone Activation. The owners of this website were the ones who activated our iPhones last year for the 3.0 beta and they have done exceptionally well in instantly provisioning our devices minutes after I sent them my payment.

For just $10 per device, your iPhone and iPod touch can be activated to get access to ALL of the upcoming 4.0 OS betas that Apple will be frequently releasing over the next months. As we will be testing 4.0 OS on our own, we think you should also have a chance at being a part of the beta testing, especially if you like to be curious around your device. So, do you want to get multi-tasking and official backgrounds on your iPhone/iPod touch before anyone else? Then hesitate no longer, head over to My iPhone Activation and get yourself activated instantly!

Have you ever been shopping and wondered if you can find that same product cheaper somewhere else? Luckily for you, you have a jailbroken iphone!

A new cydia app has been released called RedLaser that allows your iphone to read barcodes. After scanning the bar code with your phone’s camera, it then searches amazon and google for a list of stores that carry that product so that you may compare prices.

Don’t worry first generation iphone users. This works for all 3 phones (iphone, 3g, and 3gs!).

The developer for this app has made it really easy. No need to push any buttons to search or scan or anything. Simply hold the camera still  over the middle of the barcode and let it do it’s thing.

How much does this app cost? Well…NOTHING! This app is absolutely free in the cydia store so go and check it out!

Below is some screen shots that I took after testing the app out.  If any of you are wondering why I used A&D ointment, it’s not because I have a diaper rash lol. I recently got a tattoo and it was the closest thing to me with a barcode so no jokes lol.

The iPhone 3G S 3.1 Beta 2 firmware is supposed to have a triple click option for the home button. This little image pops up and wants to know if you want VoiceOver On, Zoom On, or White and Black on. Now, I haven’t seen too much of the iPhone 3G S news because I own an iPod Touch 2G, but I think that it means that you can turn off and on the voice control that you get if you hold the home button, the zoom function for webpages OR the home screen, and you could make all of the icons black and white to save battery.
