As we all know, Cydia is a wonderful application that you get when you jailbreak your iPod Touch or iPhone that allows you to access themes, tweaks, and third part applications, majority of which are absolutely FREE!! However, the biggest downfall with Cydia is that it takes crazy amounts of time to load, causing frustration and headaches to the jailbroken community. This tutorial will show you how to make Cydia load faster with just a swipe and a click!
As stated in the video, this is only meant for if you were recently in Cydia and something happened (i.e. iPod crashes or resprings) that caused you to have to exit out of it. Now, suppose you want to get back into Cydia, and since you were just in Cydia a couple moments ago, you know there are no new packages or themes available, so you don’t want to have to wait for Cydia to completely load everything. That’s where this will come in handy and be a priceless asset to you jailbroken iDevice.
Anything and everything else you may need to know is stated in the video, and if not, just leave a comment (on YouTube) and I’ll answer your question ASAP.
If you found this useful, informational, helpful, or just loved the beats, please remember to comment, rate 5 stars, favorite, and subscribe to zayman3!
Some of you may know, but Ryan, of the youtube channels DoItUpYou, CydiaThemes and Ironman33333, has set up a new community repository. Community Repository means that you can submit YOUR OWN packages to it, to be viewed and downloaded all over the world. Currently the repo has heaps of great themes, wallpapers, and afew applications! For further information, please SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL, and FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER.
The source you need to add to get the repo; http://apt.cydia.us

Title is Self-Explanatory.
Steps:
1. Download appropriate prejailbroken firmware from the links in the above YouTube video’s description(To watch the video actually on YouTube so you can go to the description and download your firmware, just click the YouTube Logo at the bottom right of the video box).
2. Plug your iPhone or iPod Touch into your computer and wait until either iTunes pops up or just open it if it doesn’t.
3. Then go to the menu of your device in iTunes.
4. For Mac, hold down Option and while still holding it down, click Restore and then you can release the Option button, and for Windows, just do the same thing but hold down Shift instead of Option.
5. A file browsing window will come up, just double-click the firmware you downloaded earlier.
6. Let it do it’s business and you will have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch on 3.1 firmware!
One problem I had is that there’s no MMS, but I will try to the best of my ability to find a fix for this and make a whole new post for it,

Rock Your Phone are positioning themselves as a complete jailbroken package management solution, from paid to free packages. They actually list all packages from all default Cydia sources.
Opening up the main screen of Rock shows a “Rock compared to Cydia/Icy” (picture below) screen, which lists some of its big differences with the two other players in the jailbreak package management arena. Speed-wise, RockApp has done some awsome things to increase performance.
The reason Rock is so fast is that their servers watch the default repositories Packages files, and keep a current combined list at all times. Then, when you open RockApp to check for updates, instead of checking each repo’s Packages file for updates, Rock Central is checked to see what updates are new since the last time you updated, and only those changes are downloaded to your idevice. This makes Rock so much faster than all the other competitors (being cydia and icy).
Another amazing feature is called, simply “Backup”. Backup, every time you install a new package, or even open up the app, it makes a log, of every installed package on you device. This is put onto a database, with your “rock id” (email adress). So this means, that if you have to re-jailbreak, or lose all your packages for some reason, you can just press restore form backup, and Rock will re-install EVERYTHING.
You can also add custom repos, just like you would in cydia, you can add all the best repost like sinful and touch-mania! This puts it a notch above the rest, being faster, better looking, provides a backup option, and an overall much easier experience, i vote Rock one of the best things out there jailbreaking wise.
