iPhoneXpert.com History

iPhoneXpert.com was created in 2008 in the month of February. I, alexosh1234, was trying to expand my YouTube channel and thought a website would help the iPhone community. I used some of my money, bought web hosting with Godaddy, and started the website by designing it in Dreamweaver. I had a very amateurish design because I was a beginner at Dreamweaver. It was a bit difficult for me to create it in Dreamweaver, so I switched to a WordPress blog in August of 2008. The website was running well for quite a while with many writers and a successful forum, but things were getting too hard to manage with school and other activities. Although I tried to allocate responsibilities to to other writers and administrators, the site quickly became unsuccessful. In late December 2008, I tried out a new service, Squarespace.com, and this was pretty good for about a month, but it just could not be maintained to be considered a valid source for iPhone news. Today, July 9th, 2009, I decided to cancel my hosting with Godaddy, and start new with a hosting company called Bluehost.com. I read extensive reviews on the service and they seemed very good. I was able to get the WordPress based site fully working in 15 minutes which was great! Hopefully, with the help of the YouTube and iPhone/Tech community, this can be a successful website with returning and new visitors everyday

I was thinking of a tagline, and thought of this: We defy authority… a.k.a.
I think this defines who some of us are, mostly the “hackers”. We defy the authority of Apple, and do what we want when we pay for an expensive product. We want some cool things, we do what we need to get it. Jailbreaking(Hacking) FTW!
